This role will focus on the delivery of employability skills but will also influence on delivery of apprenticeship provision by promotion of positive destination outcomes.Adult Education Budget delivery is at the heart of what we do and we make a substantial contribution to the Government’s reduction in unemployment strategy, we are looking to be a market leader in our field and everything we do is about maintaining and strengthening our position.Job title: Learning and Development Co-ordinatorAims and purpose of the jobWe measure our success by how many of our clients achieve their employability programmes are happy with the service and move into either further education, training or employment. We also measure how many of our referral partners value the services we provide.Our main key stakeholder within this field are Job Centre +’s and it is our aim to be the provider of choice in each Job Centre + we deliver to.Specific accountabilitiesYou will have a sound strategic mind-set, experience in working with referral partners to build develop and execute several interventions from our employability suite of delivery.You will forge strong relationships with the staff within the delivery and administrative team, referral partners and learners.Have a good understanding of all the employability suite of qualifications we offer, and lead on the development of a further initiatives that we consider necessary to deliver in line with referral and funding compliance expectations.Be able to hold and engage in stakeholder management meetings to provide a service to both learners and employers, enabling progression to sustainable employment opportunities.You will have an understanding of the Adult Education Budget. This will be supported by your understanding of the associated funding system to enable you to have a comprehensive understanding of your areas of specialism.Work to support the design of bespoke delivery programmes taking responsibility and accountability for planning and directing operations. Working in conjunction with the referral partner you will help tailor the delivery team to compliment the learning, development and ongoing support being managed by the tutor and their case worker.Utilise your professional knowledge and skill to regularly review our offer against the market standard.You will be responsible for planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of the delivery team.Provide on-going feedback so referral partners feel valued and important.Be responsible for gathering referral partner/learner feedback and organise publication through a variety of mediums including website, and social media.Conduct performance development planning discussions that focus on the referral partner’s interests for the development of our learners.Be responsible for the organisation and execution of destination data compilation and reporting of such data.Ensure the delivery is efficient and effective utilising appropriate class sizes with venues.Meet budgetary targets for the effective utilisation of our Adult Skills Budget allocation.You are expected to take charge of making sure your sector knowledge is current and that you keep up to date with developments, legislation and thinking in your sector area and will record your CPD.You will be expected to participate in events and promotions where the team requires representation, some of these will be outside of your normal working hours.There will be some admin work created as a natural part of your role and you will be required to do this which will include providing information to colleagues, systems and processes.Other ResponsibilitiesTo uphold and promote the Company policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work, including the Equality & Diversity policies and procedures and attend training as requested.To apply the Company’s own safeguarding policy and practices and attend training as requested.To keep up to date, so far as necessary, for the efficient executing of the job, with new legislation, procedures and techniques and attend relevant mandatory training.To present and promote an appropriate public image in representing our organisation.To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.You will need an enhanced DBS for this position.
