Job Description

We are an award winning and well-established health and wellbeing-based company located in Farnham who due to exciting brand growth, we are recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager - FMCG to join our on-site operations team. As an organically grown and originally family run business with around 30 staff members, team fit is essential. Have recently received a large corporate investment and are going from strength to strength.Reporting to the Head of Operations, as Supply Chain Manager – FMCG you will play a crucial part in the organisation, leading on all aspects of the supply chain operations function. This includes supply chain management, business operations, inventory management, logistics and quality control. You will therefore have proven experience of supply chain management, within a food manufacturing environment, and the ability to identify and implement greater efficiencies that are in line with the strategic direction of the business.Working 9am-5.30pm Mon to Fri, in return we can offer an excellent salary of circa £30K plus annual bonus (approx. 10%), pension, free parking, 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays), on-site personal trainer and use of gym equipment.The main duties will be -

  • Supply Chain management spanning supplier development, optimisation of the ERP system / demand planning modules and ensuring the on-time delivery of ingredients and materials into production
  • Strategically planning both from a resource and capacity planning perspective.
  • Taking the lead with supplier approval, cost reductions, specifications, bottling and manufacturing controls.
  • Liaison with various departments to meet and exceed business requirements in terms of Quality, Cost & Delivery.
  • Responsibility for producing and successfully delivering manufacturing, purchasing and inventory plans.
  • Driving continuous improvement in both our processes and quality
  • Committed to working to BRC and Quality Management Standards
  • To be successful as Supply Chain Manager – FMCG you will ideally have a minimum of 3 years food industry experience as Supply Chain Manager, plus working knowledge with an ERP system, with NetSuite being highly desirable. A degree in SCM or equivalent would be desirable, plus experience of working within Food Industry under BRC or similar food safety and quality standards.You will be IT literate – including use of Microsoft Office programmes, have excellent written and verbal communication skill, and drive a high level of personal accountability and ownership for results. An organised strategic approach and excellent time management skills are a must, as is a high attention to detail with a strong due diligence mindset. You will be proactive and demonstrate motivation to learn and develop and the ability to work assertively in a cross functional environment and attain consensus between all parties.
