Job Description

JOB- Manufacturing Process EngineerLOCATION- FarnhamTERM- PermanentSALARY- £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)We are looking foraProcess Engineer (Rubber) on a permanent basis in the Farnham area with experience in the manufacturing industry in a fast paced environment. Your main duty will be to assist Production and Team Leaders to ensure routes reflect skills, abilities, equipment and utilise the knowledge of the shop floor staff as required. You will identify bottleneck processes and suggest improvement projects where necessary.The Process Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Recent experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Must have Rubber moulding experience
  • Lean manufacturing & problem-solving experience beneficial
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be a Time Served Engineer / HNC / HND qualified
  • Be self-motivated and have strong leadership skills
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt beneficial
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
  • The Process Engineer role will involve:
  • Co-ordinating continuous improvement projects across cross-functional teams
  • Analysing current processes for cost reduction and improvement activities
  • Communicating between procurement, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • New product development & implementing new machines and processes
  • Design of jigs and fixtures to improve existing processes
  • Managing project schedules for New Product Introductions
  • Assisting with planning from time to time when required
  • Creating routings, listing all internal and external operations
