As we strive to keep ourselves ahead of the game and the threats, you will lead the way in Telecommunications and work with the latest technologies.What will you be doingAs an IP Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design and build of a range of IP networks across multiple vendors and platforms. You’ll create detailed customer design documentation, equipment configuration information, technical as-built documentation & type approval of new hardware.You will -• Designcustomer IP Networks covering Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Network security as well as encryption overlay• Provide consultancy to pre-sales, customers and other areas of the business, representing the Department at internal, customer and supplier technical meetings• Provide technical support to pre-sales design, department and to Customers; make recommendations on complex technical matters. Suggesting technical improvements to processes, devise and implement corrective actions where problems ariseWho are we looking for Experience with the following:• Design and delivery of network solutions involving Cisco routing, switching and network security products and Juniper SRX firewalls• Solid understanding of a variety of IP network and routing protocols• Experience in configuring and utilising network management and monitoring tools• Demonstrable troubleshooting skills and approach to fault resolution• Desirable (but not essential) to have knowledge and working experience of Nokia networking productsOur promise to youAn excellent remuneration and bonus package with 28 days holiday entitlement, in addition to bank holidays and paid leave for charity projects.
