Job Description

Working for a leading industry trade association in a successful event sales team selling a sponsorship and exhibition space at industry leading events in the UK and internationally. The business successfully adapted its event programme to digital in 2020 and has a compelling virtual event offering for 2021 with contingency plans for returning to in person events when this is possible.Event Sales Account Manager responsiblities:

  • Proactively sell event packages to potential customers and contribute to a team target.
  • Proactively managed and plan sales activity driven by e-campaigns.
  • Ensure new prospects are added to the CRM and ensure the status of all prospects are updated.
  • React efficiently and swiftly to incoming sales enquiries and identify the relevant information for the potential client.
  • Maintain strong membership relations and capture relevant information to update the central CRM with.
  • Manage an effective follow up/call back system to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised and to develop a strong relationships with members and other key stakeholders.
  • Create event floor plans (training on CAD will be provided).
  • Attend events (largely UK based) which will require overnight travel once in person events resume.
  • Represent the Events Sales team at internal meetings where the events programme will be discussed.
  • Event Sales Account Manager - Essential Skills, Experience and Attributes
  • Proven sales and account management skills in a solution sales/service driven sector.
  • Consultative sales style with an enquiring approach is required for the cold calling element of the role.
  • Sound organsational and planning skills. Must be a competent user of Excel for event record keeping.
  • Confident user of databases (training will be provided).
  • Must be a collaborative team player who is self motivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Must be well presented with a clear and confident communication skills.
  • Experience of sales at Senior Management and Executive level advantageous but not essential.
