Job Description

The RoleHain Daniels are currently recruiting for an NPD Manager at our Fakenham site. Fakenham is our dedicated Meat Free facility, producing vegetarian products under license for Linda McCartney Foods.The role of the NPD Manager is to manage the day to day activity of the Plant Based Meals Development team to support the Head of NPD and ensuring the delivery of best in class commercially viable products from an approved product brief to launch. Therole ensures NPD & factory processes used are in line with the needs of the business to continually meet, improve & exceed our customer expectationsKey Responsibilities

  • Lead the Concept & Process Development teams to develop best in class commercially viable products
  • Management of all NPD projects from receipt of project brief through to launch sign off using appropriate NPD tracking tools. This involves working closely with key stakeholders in Commercial / Operations / Procurement / Planning / Technical / Marketingteams.
  • To manage, motivate and develop the Development team
  • Monitor & manage team resource across both Concept & Process functions to distribute workload evenly and ensuring team flexibility to support peaks & troughs in workload/teams
  • To manage all cost associated with development to ensure departmental budget met
  • To develop, nurture and manage the relationship between the Hain Daniels Group and applicable Retailers through the effective communication with the Retailer Product Developers and Retailer Technologists throughout the development process.
What you will need for the role / what it will take
  • Food related degree or course and basic culinary skill
  • Minimum 5 years product development experience with project and people management skills essential
  • Previous experience of leading & managing direct report(s) essential
  • Excellent organisational skills with a clear ability to delegate & prioritise
