Mechanical Design Engineer Location:Fakenham Salary: Competitive Salary The RoleAn experienced mechanical design engineer required to develop customised products for a small, friendly company dealing in an international marketplace.Creation of overall design and assembly drawings to define customer requirements,Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal or external production,Creation of BOM for special products and procurement as requiredCustomer liaison for projectsLiaison with Workshop Supervisor to ensure projects are fulfilled on timeContinuous Improvement of existing productsKey SkillsA sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalworkThe ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range,The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.Other SkillsExcellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar,Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on timeWorking knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislationAble to work as part of a small teamExcellent communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive Salary based on experience20 Days Annual Holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with time served)Flexible working arrangementsFriendly small team environmentExcellent opportunities for development
