Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to work for our client situated in Fakenham. As an essential part of the organisation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records and providing vital support to the finance team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Ledger: Assisting in the management of the purchase ledger, including processing payments and invoice approval.
  • Credit Control: Supporting the credit control process to maintain healthy financial relationships with customers.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Ensuring the bank accounts are accurate and up to date, with timely posting of transactions.
  • Administrative Tasks: Adapting to the changing needs of the departmental workloads, taking on various administrative tasks as required.
  • Email Management: Monitoring and managing incoming emails, ensuring timely responses and forwarding important messages.
  • Answering incoming calls and addressing queries with a friendly and professional manner.
Skills needed:
  • Previous accounts experience including purchase ledger processing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Particularly strong skills in Excel, enabling you to handle financial data efficiently.
  • Methodical Approach: A detail-oriented mindset that allows you to handle financial and administrative tasks with precision.
  • Willingness to Learn: A proactive attitude and a desire to continuously develop your skills in the field.
  • Organisational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and keep things in order.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external parties.
