We are seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced Family Therapist to work across our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service, covering 2 early Interventions teams. This is also open to applications from those soon to qualify.Psychological care is delivered by clinical psychologists, CBT therapists, family therapists and by EIP practitioners within an established multidisciplinary team.Integrated within the teams, you will provide specialist family and systemic assessment, intervention and therapy. You will also support the team in developing skills and knowledge of Family Interventions within the Early Intervention in Psychosis teams. This will involve contributing to our long term vision of Family Interventions that draws upon our the current systemic understanding of Psychosis as well as other mental health difficulties. You will contribute to the continuing development of psychological expertise within the team through your input into multi-professional team meetings, clinical supervision, case discussion and training. You will be expected to offer advice and consultation on service users psychological care and the needs of their family members.Expertise in family therapy and experience of working with people with psychosis and people identified as at-risk of developing psychosis with complex psychological presentations within a multi-disciplinary team is desirable. With enthusiasm for innovative approaches to engaging people (14 – 65 years) who are experiencing a first-episode of psychosis, and people identified as at-risk of developing psychosis you will be committed to the philosophy of early intervention and a recovery approach.As well as Family Therapy the post holder will also be expected to deliver Family Interventions and contribute to developing other systemic approaches within the service.
