The Role: General upkeep & maintenance duties associated with a (clean working) factory premises (35,000 square feet, automotive segment). Responsible for building & facility maintenance, as well as site security.The Enginering business itself is fast moving, there will be a requirement to support shop-floor activities as an when required.Typical background experience:This would suit someone with demonstrable skills in advanced DIY.Possible experience in a trade or as a hands-on caretaker/business facilities person in charge.Experience Required:Experience in a relevant environment/industrySkillset Required:- Used to working in a similar environment, transfer of skills will be considered- Practical experience of working with equipment and machinery commonly used within a factory environment- Confident in undertaking fire, basic electrical and appliance checks- Building & redecoration- Forklift & Scissor Lift experience would be beneficial (training can be provided)- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of safe working practices- Able to work well within a team, as well as independently using own initiative- Self-motivatedRoles & Responsibilities:- Ensuring that the site is kept to a high standard - safety, security and appearance- Responsible for a range of on-site facility duties, this may include: heating, lighting, plumbing, Welding- Able to undertake building & site minor repairs and general redecoration work- Able to plan in, coordinate and oversee other tradepersons (contractors) on-site, as required- Ensuring that facility equipment that requires maintenance or recertification is planned in and actioned appropriately- Following of preventative maintenance measures on-site- Support shopfloor activities as required- Regular cleaning/maintaining of Equipment- Lifting of equipment- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping as in when required.- Support on cleaning vehicle or its accessories as in when requriedVersion:1.0
