Job Description

Goodman Masson are recruiting alongside one of the UKs leading local authorities. Our client is expanding their housing development team, and there is a vacancy for a Housing Development Enabling Officer. This role will support the council in their housingdevelopment function. Were looking for someone with a strong background in construction, property or social housing.The role involves:

  • Identifying potential development opportunities across the county
  • Work with Registered Providers, Developers, Landowners, Councils and Homes England to ensure affordable housing is provided
  • Advise on development agreements, nomination agreements, financial viability and housing need
  • Survey properties for the purpose of acquisition
  • Develop and maintain a database of affordable housing developments
What were looking for:
  • Strong general education
  • Experience of property construction, planning process and the property market
  • Housing qualification, degree or equivalent
  • Experience with development, acquisition, business planning, securing funding
  • Computer literacy & access to a vehicle
