Job Description

Introduction/Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Web Designer to join a well established and rapidly growing business based in Exeter. They are a tight knit team who are passionate about their customers and the service they provide.This is a busy role in which the successful candidate will liaise with all areas of the business so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are key. You should have previous experience as a Web Designer ideally having worked with the following technologies Adobe Creative Cloud, JIRA HTML/CSS, JavaScript, various frameworksResponsibilities:

  • Working with customers and product managers to produce initial mock ups/web designs
  • Create website layout and user interfaces by using HTML/CSS practices
  • Write well designed and testable code
  • Present designs and requirements to fellow peers and stakeholders
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and sitemaps to communicate interaction and design ideas
    • Requirements:
  • A proven track record of web design
  • A relevant degree / qualification in Web Design would be preferred along with previous commercial experience
  • The ability to create eye catching, intuitive and functional designs
  • A real passion for design and creating a great user experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and able to manage own workload whilst also being part of the team
  • Proactive and able to take full ownership of the design, user interface and user experience
  • Experience of Wordpress, WooCommerce and Magento preferred
  • Proven track record of working with: Adobe Creative Cloud, JIRA, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, various frameworks
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects concurrently,
  • Demonstrable portfolio of relevant work
