The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust is a Foundation Trust Hospital based in the historic cathedral city of Exeter in the heart of the South West of England. The Trust has become a partner in the creation of a major Medical School, University of Exeter Medical School (UEMS).Applications are invited for Trust Doctor at Foundation level, with experience in General Surgery to join our existing team from April 2021 for 4 months in the first instance.This post will predominantly be based in Colorecal while also taking part in the General Surgery on-call rota. There may be occiasions where you are asked to work in other General Surgery firms but this this would be with your Consultants approval.This post gives an exciting opportunity to work and to gain experience across the wider General Surgery firms such as Colorectal, Urology and Breast teams by support the regular members of the team during on-call shifts and offers an exciting opportunity to build experience.This post does not automatically proceed to an F2 level post and is not a recognised training post. Whilst this is a non-training post you will have an Educational and Clinical Supervisor and given opportunities to learn and develop skills during your placement.The successful candidates must have full registration with the General Medical Council.For a full breakdown of the clinical duties please see the job description.
