Job Description

Supplier Quality Engineer (Automotive)The Company:Are you an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer with experience within an automotive manufacturing environment Perfect, then we have a superb role, which can be undertaken in either Exeter or Northampton. You will take responsibility for the effective Quality Management of suppliers in this automotive environment.Job Responsibilities:

  • Measure, monitor, control and communicate supplier performance.
  • Carry out effective Quality management of suppliers from cradle to grave.
  • Deal with non-conforming product from suppliers and driving to root cause using 8D, etc.
  • Continual supplier development to drive continuous improvement and cost effectiveness.
  • Conversant with ISO9001 and IATF16949
  • External and internal auditingpreferably VDA 6.3 & VDA 6.5
  • Regular travel to suppliers will be requiredboth UK and overseas
Preferred Skills:
  • Qualified or time served in Supplier Quality Assurance
  • Experience of problem solving tools8D, 5Y, etc.
  • Experience of managing suppliers in an automotive environment
  • APQP experience including FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, etc.
  • Conversant with ISO9001 and IATF16949
PersonalAttributes: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise with staff, customersfrom board room to shop floor.Willingness to travel in the UK and EuropeExcellent communication and IT skills. Associated Benefits:Company PensionWorking Hours:8.30-5.30 M-F, 8.30-3 F
