Job Description

OverviewDo you want to be part of our team leading the spread of innovative practice in health and careWe are looking for three new Senior Delivery Managers who share our passion for improving the health of people in our region by spreading innovative practice.As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will join our programmes team to help us manage the development and delivery of our national and regional programmes - working with our member organisations, national commissioning bodies, the AHSN Network and our broader network of partners across the South West.You will specialise in building our networks, knowledge and relationships with our members and partners across specific areas of the health and care system, such as acute, community, mental health and care homes, and draw on capabilities from across our organisation to deliver our programme aims.Senior Delivery Managers are at the heart of our work to spread innovative practice. From supporting front-line clinical teams to better detect patient deterioration and optimising the use of video consultation technologies in hospitals, to identifying place-based approaches to support people disproportionately affected by COVID-19, you will manage the design and delivery of a portfolio of projects focused on spreading innovative practice.Each senior delivery manager in our programmes team leads on different parts of the health and care system, and draws on skills and experience from across our organisation to make sure our work translates into the improved health of people across our region.Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and manage the delivery of our programmes commissioned by national, regional and local partners, on time and within budget.
  • Build deep knowledge, local networks and strong relationships within a defined area of the regional health and care system.
  • Establish strong internal relationships that draw on expertise from across the programmes team and wider organisation to support the delivery of our programme aims.
  • Develop our methodology to spread innovative practice.
  • Provide regular, accurate and detailed reporting on programme performance.
  • Work with our communications and engagement function to engage partners in our programmes, communicate the impact of our work and raise our profile at a regional and national level.
  • Work with our evaluation and learning function to define and measure the impact of our programmes.
  • Work with our partnerships function to identify and develop new partnership opportunities to grow our work.
  • Manage external contractors, associates and clinical advisors to deliver programme aims.
  • Build strong relationships with other AHSNs and contribute to the success of the national AHSN Network.
  • Experience we are looking for:
  • Project and programme management and leadership.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management capability.
  • Track record of influencing stakeholders to change their perspectives.
  • Knowledge of change methodologies such as Quality Improvement (QI) frameworks, Lean or Six Sigma, and project management frameworks such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
  • Use of quantitative and qualitative data to inform programme design, delivery and monitor performance.
  • Experience and capabilities you will develop in the role:
  • Leading large-scale, cross-system programmes to improve health and care.
  • Applying cutting-edge improvement methods and approaches to the spread of innovative practice.
  • Building multi-partner collaborations that deliver impact across a large geography.
