Job Description

General Manager- Hotel, Golf, Health Club & Spa - DevonSix-Figure packageWe are looking for a Resort General Manager to manage a fabulous Private Members Golf Club, state-of the art Health & Fitness Club, Spa and hotel in Devon for an award-winning expanding brand.There are fantastic benefits including a competitive basic salary depending on experience, significant bonus potential, generous contributory pension, healthcare and car allowance taking the overall package to £100K+.Key Responsibilities:

  • Spend time with your guests/members to ensure they are at the heart of everything you do.
  • Leading, coaching, developing and inspiring your 100+ team members to deliver an incredible customer experience.
  • Support your leadership team to develop the golf, fitness, spa, conference and banqueting, food and beverage and event offering to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time to maximise participation, aid retention and improve the bottomline.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing and revenue management teams to develop their strategy to drive occupancy, new member sales and events.
  • Full financial accountability; profit and loss, income, expenditure, debtors; helping set the budgets and business plan.
  • Ensure the property and grounds are well maintained, clean and safe at all times.
  • Support with any new CAPX developments
Person Specification:
  • Highly engaging, professional, ambitious and obsessed with service and operational standards.
  • Front of house approach to leadership with the ability to step up to provide strategic direction.
  • Experience in building and developing high performing teams fostering a culture of excellence.
  • At least 5-years- U.K. based experience as a General Manager, Club Manager, Club Director, Resort General Manager or Resort Director of 4-star+ standards.
  • Extensive experience and track record in growing club membership in golf and/or fitness clubs.
  • Experience of managing extensive food, beverage and accommodation services.
  • An advocate of living an active healthy lifestyle.
  • The ability to commute daily to the Exeter area in Devon (no permanent accommodation is provided)
