Job Description

Location: Tiverton, DevonWorking Hours: Monday to Friday LATE SHIFT - 2.30pm-11pm. However, initial training will be carried out on DAY SHIFT working 6am to 2.30pm (approx. 1-3 months)Overall Purpose of the Role:This role is predominantly based on working with soap making machine. Strong mechanical and/or engineering background would be ideal.Production of goods using mixing vessels and in accordance with works orders / batch sheets. Set up and operate equipment with best manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures whilst enhancing overall productivity and maintaining quality requirements.Clean and sanitise equipment in preparation of use in line with set our cleaning procedures.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Administration:Fill out necessary paperwork and batch records to a high standard of accuracy, keeping IBS updates, producing batch sheets and processing paperworkAlcohol: ensure all processes and correct usage of equipment in relation to alcohol mixing are adhered to at all times.Bulk Supply: Ensure that all new bulks and returns are stored in correct storage locations Correct finished bulks are supplied to the production lines Handling raw materials, consumables and any ad hoc deliveries in line with agreed processesForklift/Pedestrian/Straddle: safe usage of mechanical handling equipment (MHE) Mobile/Cold Mix Vessels/V01/Vo2/V17/V19: Strictly follow detailed mixing instructions to monitor equipment, temperature and take samples for testing at required times. Ensure that all processes and safety measures are adhered to whilst using all cold and hot mixing equipment. Ensure output targets are met and stock levels are monitored and corrected as required.Pre-Weigh: Accurately and safely dispensing raw materials for the mixers Fill out necessary paperwork and batch records to a high standard of accuracy. Ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed. Check and monitor the use of containers, packing consumables to keep adequate stocks for the required use of the department. Soap line: safe operation of the soap pressing line adhering to all processes and safety measures.Viscosity Training: Carry out quality testing of finished product. Ensure product quality are maintained within Standard Operating Procedures and customers expectations.Washroom: Cleaning and sanitising of buckets, barrels, ancillary equipment. Cleaning and sanitising of washroom and equipment storage areas. Prepare sanitant solution for production technical operators. Responsible for daily change of soak tank sanitant solution. Fill out necessary paperwork ensuring accurate cleaning schedules and processes are recorded. Follow SOP and sanitary guidelines for cleaning and keeping the working environment clean by adopting Clean as You Go principles. Promote good interpersonal relationships with other team members, management, and other departments to work effectively to ensure delivery of production targets and customer requirements.
