Employee wellbeing programme, training & development opportunities, free onsite parking at one of thesites, friendly supporting working environment!The Company With a workforce of 25 people, this medical practice has two surgeries, one in the city centre and the other just a short distance away on the eastern side of Exeter. They pride themselves on providing two communities - thats roughly 8000 patients - witha range of healthcare, and have a team of 6 dedicated, friendly doctors. The employees go out of their way to help not only the patients, but each other and provide an inclusive, caring and supportive working environment and the company offers staff a healthywork-life balance.The RoleAs the Patient Data Administrator, you will play a vital, back-office role for the surgeries and patients, providing strong administration support, focusing on data quality, across a variety of tasks including data recording, extraction and communication.You will work closely with the clinical team, the Practice Business Manager, Operations Manager, and the patients in this position.Your excellent attention to detail and love of processes will be key in using the clinical system to help business performance, plus your amazing people skills and empathetic nature will come in use when supporting patients to receive care and advice fortheir healthcare.Duties include

  • Become a key user of the in-house clinical system:
  • Manage and interpret data to assist with production of reports
  • Provide GPs and others with reports and information from searches you have performed
  • Extract and record data from the system to assist and advise all practice staff
  • To provide administrative support and services to all members of the Practice team across both sites
  • Keep up to date with knowledge of the surgery and its requirement, such as vaccinations and immunisations etc.
  • Provide administrative support to the practice teams for patient with long-term conditions
  • Speak with patients on a daily basis, supporting them and offering advice:
  • Guiding them on how to use the digital tools, such as the National Health App and online medical forms
  • Helping and offering advice on how they can self-manage their conditions and prescriptions using the online systems
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to assist patients
  • Support the practice team with training and compliance
About you
  • Previous administration experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and a process driven mind
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Good time management and ability to multitask
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office including Excel
  • An investigative and questioning mind
