Do you want to work within a fast-growing, dynamic, supportive, and fun companyOur client is looking for a Network Operations Centre Junior Engineer to join the team, with training provided.Salary / Perks / Benefits* £24k salary* Access to private GP and Mental Health services* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays* Shift rotation role 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights.* Support and conduct tasks as detailed by senior team members.* Support NOC service models and processes, in particular:* Alarm monitoring* Service Quality monitoring* Fault resolution* Monitor Controlled changes to the network and network devices* Escalations to 3rd line/3rd party vendors* Outage notification to the business* Working with OSP teams to identify fibre faults* Cabling (24/7/365)* Housekeeping (out of hours)* Conduct research, analysis, and correlation across a wide variety of all source data sets (e.g. indications and warnings).* Use provided tools to perform continual monitoring and analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity and configure mitigations.* Coordinate with enterprise-wide Networks teams to validate network alerts.* Employ approved defence-in-depth principles and practices (e.g., defence-in-multiple places, layered defences, security robustness).* On the job training will be given.Person Spec:Qualifications/Experience:* GCSE Maths and English.* Understanding of MS Office suite.Desirable:* IT qualification.* Experience of working on network equipment.* Basic understanding of the following technologies: IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP).* Working towards CCNA certification or equivalent level of knowledge.Key skills & Attributes:* Clear communicator (written and verbal).* Capable of prioritising and managing own workload.* Self-motivated.* Capable of working/using own initiative with minimal supervision.* Interest in leading edge technologies.* Keen to develop own skills and knowledge.* Solid organisational ability and an attention to detail.* Good time management skills.If you have the experience required to fulfil this role then we would love to hear from you!King Recruit is committed to the selection, recruitment of the best people, basing judgments solely on suitability for the job.
