Our client is looking to hire a Network Design Engineer- IP/MPLS To develop the end to end architecture, design and test of the companys IP/MPLS network and the services delivered over it. Salary / Perks / Benefits* £55k salary* Access to private GP and Mental Health services* 25 days annual leave + bank holidays* Contribution to RAC coverMain Duties and Responsibilities:* Produce designs for the development of the companys IP/MPLS network for delivery of triple play residential services, business services and mobile backhaul/fronthaul services based on international standards and world class best industry practice.* Ensure the designs meet current and future service, scalability, and resilience requirements.* Ensure network and service integration with the BSS & OSS platforms.* Produce test specifications and validate the IP/MPLS designs in Jurassic Fibres lab.* Produce commissioning documents for the deployment of new/upgraded network and service capabilities in Jurassic Fibres live network.* Work closely with the network build team and provide support.* Review and approve formal acceptance tests for the commissioning of end to end network and service deployments.* Ensure all designs and acceptance tests are fully documented and the network is deployed and configured accordingly. Maintain the integrity of the network and service solutions.* Support handover of the IP/MPLS network and services to Operations and provide 3rd level technical support where required.* Network capacity planning* Keep up to date with new IP/MPLS standards and technology solutions.* Support the evaluation and approval of new IP/MPLS technologies and enhancements.Academic Qualifications and Experience:Qualifications:* An Honours degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent.* CCDP/CCNP certified or equivalent.* Chartered Engineer preferredExperience:* At least 4 years experience of designing, building and testing IP/MPLS networks and end to end services for a telecommunications operator.* Ability to develop ISP and data services designs covering all requirements including AS domain, IPv4 and IPv6 address allocation for residential and business customers, use of core, edge and gateway routers, BRAS and CGN (centralised or distributed), transitand peering, use of IP protocols, security, DPI, disaster recovery, network monitoring and capacity management.* Integration of the IP/MPLS layer with the DWDM optical layer.* Designing and testing end to end services including internet access, CCTV, IPTV, voice, L2VPNs, L3VPNs, EVPNs.* Designing and testing ISP interconnects, IP Transit and peering.* Evaluating, developing and testing security solutions including DDoS attack mitigation.* Developing DPI and filtering solutions for customer services.* Ability to produce, review and approve installation, commissioning and test specifications and formally approve network and service acceptance tests.* Experience of integrating the network and services into the BSS & OSS stack and supporting the handover to Operations.* Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced growing company.If you have the experience required to fulfil this role then we would love to hear from you!King Recruit is committed to the selection, recruitment of the best people, basing judgments solely on suitability for the job.
