Job Description

Cathedral Appointments has an exceptional opportunity for a Junior Frontend Developer to join an innovative digital business based in Exeter. This is a unique chance to develop across a variety of client websites and have the ability to progress and develop. To be successful you will have genuine passion for the digital industry and a relevant degree and/or relevant experience.Responsibilities:

  • Delivering specific aspects of projects; design, integration etc
  • Translation of designs to HTML/CSS that renders cross-browser and device (desktop, tablet and phone)
  • Configure, build and maintain WooCommerce / WordPress sites
  • Troubleshoot any functionality, performance or feature issues
  • Theme development and customisation
  • QA of integrations and bug fixing
    • Requirements:
  • A relevant degree qualification or experience within a similar environment, ideally with a basic understanding of WordPress
  • WooCommerce / Magento frontend development experience would be advantageous, although not essential
  • A demonstrable portfolio of work
  • Knowledge/experience of the technology stack; HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and required PHP skill for frontend development
  • Working knowledge of common extensions and plugins
  • Version control e.g. GIT, SVN
  • Recognised platform certifications would be a distinct advantage
