Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join a rapidly expanding company based in Exeter. The successful candidate will be providing day to day 1st line support across the business and will have the opportunity to progress their career across a number of areas. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly beneficial but a passion for the role and the ability to communicate and problem solve are essential.Responsibilities:

  • Install and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners across the business
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
    • Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar IT support based role using MS Office applications, Office 365 and Sharepoint
  • Experience deploying and managing anti virus/malware solutions
  • Experience dealing directly with customer queries in a professional manner
  • Be experienced with network basics including: subnetting, VLANs, and WiFi deployment
  • UK Driving Licence
    • Advantageous
  • Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory and system admin experience with Linux
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with PostgreSQL databases
  • Knowledge or Experience with QGIS
  • Experience / Qualifications for Cisco and Mikrotik equipment
  • Experience of ISO 22701
