Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Analyst to join our client based in the Exeter office.They advise clients on a broad range of legal matters across the UK and internationally. With offices in Exeter, London and Bristol they are well placed to work with a diverse range of clients, with a specific focus on Private Wealth, Finance and Investment and Real Estate. We also have strong sector support for Technology and Innovation, Energy, Manufacturing and Public Sector work.The IT Support Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the business on matters relating to the use of IT. As a key member of the overall support team, you will be required ensure that support issues are dealt with in a prompt and timely manner.What you will be doing:

  • 2nd/3rd line support for service desk
  • Action and resolve tickets within a timely manner
  • Prioritise, schedule, troubleshoot and communicate any infrastructure or application problems, escalating as and where appropriate
  • Install, support, maintain and administer client computers, software and related IT equipment
  • Assist other team members with technical support work as required
  • Apply relevant security clearance/restrictions for users accessing company resources
  • Managing third party suppliers of applications and hardware including logging and monitoring support calls
  • Participate and assist in the running of technical projects advising of progress as required
  • Provide out of hours support on occasion
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and work unsupervised
  • What we are looking for:
  • Experience in an office environment with excellent personal relationship skills
  • Experience with hardware/software installation, configuration and repair
  • Knowledge of key server roles such as Active Directory, Group Policy & DNS.s
  • Knowledge of MS SCCM
  • Basic networking skills (TCP/IP), WI-FI and network cabling (CAT5 + 6)
  • Knowledge of applications such as Citrix, BigHand, Worksite and Rekoop would be advantageous
  • Essential Software Experience: Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010/16, Exchange 2016 administration, Active Directory Users and Computers, Group Policy, Networking to include TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Desirable Software Experience: HP Autonomy Worksite, BigHand Digital Dictation, Microsoft Direct Access, Mitel Administration. Equitrac secure print. Docs Corp document comparison, E-Copy scanning
