Job Description

Devon and Cornwall Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Team ManagerLocation: Position covers Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of ScillyaseSalary: £30,900 per annum rising to £32,569 per annum on successful completion of probation.Job Type: Full Time, PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per weekOur client is a charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon, Wiltshire and across England and Wales who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. They are independent of statutory agencies, including the Police, and every year they helpthousands of adults and children across England and Wales to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.The Devon & Cornwall Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Team Manager will provide leadership and management to the Devon & Cornwall ISVA Service and staff, ensuring the needs of service users remain central to all the service does.Key Responsibilities

  • Be line manager to the Devon & Cornwall ISVA Service Team Leaders / ISVAs
  • Formulate and implement strategies and operational plans and take a lead role in national abuse strategy partnerships.
  • Represent the charity and service, effectively influencing multi-agency stakeholders employing diplomacy, tact and negotiation.
  • Conduct proactive service outreach to educate, inform and improve service utilisation and accessibility across the country.
  • Monitor and regularly report on charitable grant funding and contractual KPIs
  • Proactively lead on the development and achievement of service compliance: information governance, accreditations, training, safeguarding, equality and diversity information, quality assurance.
  • Full participation in First Light’s out of hours duty management rota, operating 24/ 7/ 365
Essential Requirements
  • Management qualifications at degree level, equivalent experience or a vocational qualification
  • Demonstrable IT mastery with Microsoft products - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams
  • Ability to travel across Devon, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly
