Do you want to work within a fast-growing, dynamic, supportive, and fun companyOur client is looking to hire a GIS Technician to support the Network Design initiative of network planning, design and the ongoing maintenance of FTTx data and applications in support of the network construction, expansion and management.Salary / Perks / Benefits* £competitve salary* Access to private GP and Mental Health services* 25 days annual leave + bank holidaysMain Duties and Responsibilities:* Complete assigned tasks relating to day to day maintenance of the GIS systems, including updates, integration of new data sets, and DCRs* Utilize GIS and Network Management tools for the operation, and maintenance of FTTx and other telecommunication network components* Spatial analysis and report generation* Provide training on the use of GIS related software, applications and documents as required.* Prepare maps, reports, and other relevant information to stakeholders* Perform data conversion and digitization* Ensure data quality checks and assurance* Assist with Construction workpacks* Provide operational support to internal and external customers to facilitate construction, sales, order management, installation or operational maintenance.* Adhere to JFLs policies, including but not limited to IT Security and GDPR Policies* And anything else that might reasonably be required of you to support the GIS/ Design team in meeting their objectivesQualifications:A first degree or equivalent combination of certificate and experience in any of the following subject areas:* Geographic Information Systems* Geography, Computer Science or Engineering* Survey and PlanningExperience:* Minimum of one year GIS experience* Thorough working knowledge and experience in the use of ESRI ArcGIS software, other mapping applications or fibre network inventory management systems* Understanding of FTTx Networks If you have the experience required to fulfil this role then we would love to hear from you!King Recruit is committed to the selection, recruitment of the best people, basing judgments solely on suitability for the job.
