Job Description

Ref: JW14446FP&A Manager (Business Partnering)£70,000 + BonusExeterMy client is seeking to appoint a qualified commercial financial analyst with several years business partnering experience. Your role will be to manage, develop and lead the FP& A Team in providing a blend of traditional FP&A and business partnering skills.The ideal candidate will have strong people and management skills, coupled with a high degree of commercial acumen. You will also be highly numerate with experience of statistics & data analysis and be able to easily manipulate large volumes of data utilisingyour advanced Excel skills. Experience in developing and designing reports and using BI tools (e.g., Datarails, Power BI,) would be beneficial although not essential. More specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Development of key reporting packs including weekly flash results, monthly management information, department dashboards to support decision making and track performance against KPIs.
  • Support in-depth analysis of P&L performance, understanding revenue & cost drivers, and highlight risks or opportunities to plan.
  • Collaborating with key leaders to identify and analyse key commercial drivers/decisions and their financial and operational impact on the business e.g., pricing, margin, purchasing, capex investment, volume analysis, customer analysis, customer servicesperformance, productivity optimisation.
  • Develop and provide operationally relevant MI analysis, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity, work with the business to develop actions plans to address and monitor
  • Promote the FP&A Function as a value add, key resource of the business operational management team
  • Visible, on-site presence to facilitate relations between finance and operations
  • Support the team with their ownership and development of models for analysing internal and external sources of industry and competitor data and using this data to assess impact and potential opportunities.
  • Maintaining an impartial view supported by strong data analytics.
  • Support analysis of competitor activity to help inform for key decision making e.g. pricing.
  • Development of budget/forecast models to understand future performance and guide business strategy.
  • Preparing and where required delivering board presentations.
