Job Description

Your daily presence in these roles will significantly shape the future of young learners!Role and Responsibilities:As a vital part of the team, SEN Teaching Assistants contribute significantly to supporting students with exceptional educational needs and challenging behaviours. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Tailored Assistance:Providing students with personalisedsupport to help them overcome challenges associated with their primary autism diagnosis and complex demands.
  2. Collaboration:Working collaboratively with educators, therapists, and other experts to establish an inclusive learning environment tailored to each students unique needs.
  3. Customised Educational Plans:Implementing personalisededucational programs and techniques to help pupils reach their full potential and achieve developmental milestones.
  4. Social and Emotional Growth:Nurturing social connections, communication skills, and emotional development—essential aspects of growth.
  5. Personal Well-Being:Assisting students with personal care to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
  6. Progress Tracking:Actively participating in students development by observing and reporting on their progress.
Requirements:To excel in these roles, candidates should possess:
  • Experience in Care and Support Work:Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
  • Passion for Education:A genuine interest in education and a commitment to fostering the thriving development of students.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Abilities:Excellent skills to engage effectively with students facing various challenges, demonstrating empathy and patience.
  • Proactive and Adaptable Strategy:The role demands a proactive and adaptable approach, capable of navigating changing circumstances.
  • School Experience:While beneficial, it is not a strict requirement.
  • Enhanced DBS:Candidates should have anEnhanced DBS on the update serviceor be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
