Teqniq is searching for a Cyber Security Governance Risk and Assurance Lead to work in the public sector.40 hours per week.3 months contract.09:00–17:00Security awareness training helps protect the Met Offices, systems, and networks from malicious attacks and cyber threats. It helps our people understand the importance of cybersecurity and teaches them how to identify potential threats and respond appropriately.Developing a strong cyber security culture and awareness programme is a key control to protect the Met Office from cyber threat, which, at present, is not resourced and undertaken on an ad–hoc basis by various members of CS&R. In some cases, this draws valuabletime from operational security activities or is de–prioritised due to essential, operational issues and incidents. This role will ensure sufficient focus on the development and consistent delivery of cyber security culture and awareness activities. Will beresponsible for leading promoting security–conscious behaviours and good cyber security risk management practices within the Government Security Profession and wider government. Undertaken Leading the through engagement with stakeholders at all levels of theorganisation. Ensuring CS&R are represented at suitable stakeholder collaborations, including guilds. Leading the socialisation of Met Office security policies, identifying suitable stakeholder groups with which to engage and aid development of policy thatbalance the needs of Met Offices security posture with business goals and objectives. Promote and lead in the support of our security champions programme to further embed good security awareness and practice. Lead activities to define, deliver and assure securityeducation awareness programmes across the Government Security Profession. Ensuring that CS&R can evidence success of the delivered culture and awareness programme through development of metrics. Will be responsible for developing a clear roadmap of cultureand awareness activities to ensure all aspects of culture and awareness activities are sufficiently planned and executed successfully through the year. Review and update of guidance documents, with clear signposting to enable our people to make better securitydecisions. Lead the development of a security culture within an organisation by taking responsibility for the development and delivery of training materials to aid embedding of cyber security awareness across all Met Office staff as well as our suppliers andcollaborating organisations in line to guidelines from People Development team and Met Office policies. Engaging with stakeholders across the Met Office business, including learning and development teams and senior stakeholders to define and communicate keycyber security culture and awareness messages.
