Corporate and Community Fundraising OfficerExeter, DevonThe OrganisationWe are Little Valley Animal Shelter, an independent RSPCA Branch dedicated to helping Devon’s animals in need, regardless of their age, species or behaviour.We aim to promote animal welfare and prevent cruelty to animals by all lawful means. We do this by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming mistreated, abandoned and unwanted animals. Your knowledge and skill set will be vital to continuing a steady stream of funding for our essential work.So, if you want to play a key role in helping us to promote kindness and prevent cruelty to animals, we want to hear from you.The RoleAs a Corporate and Community Fundraising Officer, you will develop, implement and deliver a variety of engaging fundraising activities!Building and managing a portfolio and pipeline of volunteers and corporate partners, you will constantly work to develop new networks and leads.You will also take the lead in managing our exciting events, focusing on raising our funds and awareness of our work.Additionally, you will:- Fundraise for major projects through grants, trusts and major donor applications- Oversee the proper management of collection devices in the community- Manage databases and third party fundraising portals- Attend events, give talks and engage with local networking organisationsAbout YouTo be considered as a Corporate and Community Fundraising Officer, you will need:- Experience of managing corporate, community, challenge and volunteer fundraising activities or directly transferable skills and experience- Experience of using a CRM system or database within a fundraising environment- Experience or good working knowledge of planning, hosting and attending public events- The ability to build strong working relationships with supporters, colleagues and volunteers- Strong knowledge of legislation and best practice relating to corporate, community andchallenge event fundraising, including Gift Aid, Fundraising Code of Practice, and data protection- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Proficiency in IT- Excellent organisational skills- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicleOther organisations may call this role Fundraising Officer, Corporate Fundraising Officer, Community Fundraising Officer, Charity Fundraising Officer, Fundraising Events Co-ordinator, or Communications and Engagement Officer.Webrecruit and RSPCA Little Valley Animal Shelter are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
