Estates and Campus ServicesThe Estates Section is responsible for the management and servicing of the University estate including all building and grounds maintenance, cleaning of non-student accommodation buildings, security, post services, central purchasing and strategic capitalplanning. The section has a mix of professional, skilled and semi-skilled staff and seeks to provide a highly professional, cost effective service.We are looking for a Records Manger to join the Maintenance and Capital Development team to lead in the development, implementation and management of a centralised record management system.Duties of the RoleAs Records Manager you will be responsible for the effective and appropriate management of the Maintenance and Capital Development teams records from their creation, right through to their eventual disposal.You will utilise existing and new record management systems to ensure centralised record systems are up to date, comprehensive and accessible, whilst ensuring that at all times the centralised record management system supports compliance with informationsecurity and data protection legislation.A full list of duties can be found within the job pack attached.Skills and qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in the development, implementation and management of complex record management systems. You will have experience of delivering sustainable change programmes across diverse teams and functions aswell as in drafting and presenting suitable reports covering a diverse range of records and broad audience base.You will be able to organise, review and manage a wide range of information and have excellent analytical, administrative and organisation skills.At the University of Essex, internationalism and diversity is central to who we are and what we do.
