Job Description

PA to Deputy Heads8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday throughout the year with reduced hours during holidays.£28,000 - £32,000 Benefits such as pension, discount on school fees, life assurance, cycle to work scheme, complimentary lunches and refreshments during term time.Beautiful setting in EsherStart date: Asap!Overview:An amazing opportunity to join an outstanding independent school that boasts sweeping views and beautiful green space, creating a truly unique atmosphere.This is a new role providing admin support to the newly appointed Deputy Heads which requires flexibility as they settle into their new roles.Suitable candidates will thrive as a team player, be highly motivated and bring energy, drive, and initiative to the role. You will have previous administrative/PA experience, preferably at a senior level, and experience of working for more than one personat the same time.Sounds interesting...Daily duties include:

  • Managing electronic diaries for the three deputy heads
  • Keeping track of important tasks and deadlines
  • Answering telephone calls and emails, dealing with enquiries appropriately
  • Liaising with staff, parents, students and the wider school community
  • Arranging, preparing and minuting meetings as required
  • Ensuring events are organised including booking venues, managing participants, travel and catering etc
  • Drafting and typing correspondence and presentations
  • Updating and distributing key documents
  • Supporting the administration of other school activities as and when required
  • Working as a team with the other PAs (in particular the headmasters PA) and administrative staff to ensure that senior staff are fully supported
Essential:
  • Experience in schools, ideally independent
  • Strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy when dealing with staff, parents and students
  • Excellent IT skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Suite and SIMS
  • Full understanding of confidentiality and data protection
  • Genuine interest in educational issues and empathy with the independent sector
