Job Description

RM Recruit Ltd are delighted to be working with our Birmingham based third sector client to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on full-time, permanent basis. Our client is able to offer a flexible, hybrid working arrangement with the office presenceset at two times per week and the rest working from home.This is a terrific opportunity to assist the Finance Business Partner in the provision of timely, accurate and high-quality management accounts. You will provide support to the Business Partner in the delivery of the full month-end accounts.Main duties include:

  • Assisting in timely monthly management accounts
  • Provide support with annual budgets/accounts
  • Attend and contribute to meetings and present financial information
  • Participate in performance management and training
  • Liaise with key business partners and provide analysis to management information
  • Prepayments, journals and accruals
  • Support in month end and statutory accounts preparation
  • Ensure fixed assets registers are kept up to date
  • Monthly reconciliation on contracts and key control accounts
  • Dealing with external audit queries
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Ensure that financial controls, standing orders are adhered to
As the ideal candidate, you will possess experience working in the charity/housing arena, however candidates from outside of the sector are encouraged to apply. You will ideally be part qualified or qualified by experience. The client is able to offer aflexible, hybrid working arrangement where you will work from home 50% of the working week. This role is also offering full study support for candidates pursuing their accounting qualification. You will be familiar with month end duties including prepayments,journals, and accruals. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator who can forge relationships with a number of stakeholders at ease.This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a fast-paced, finance setting where there is ample opportunity to grow within the team.
