Job Description

Inclusive School in Addlestone, Surrey | October 2023Wayman Education is looking for a supportive, passionate, and dedicated Year 1 teacher in Addlestone, Surrey! This is an opportunity to work within an inspirational one-form entry school based in Surrey, Southwest of London. The school is looking to appointa class teacher who will enjoy teaching an academic yet creative, topic-based curriculum in a school with exceptional pastoral care.The SchoolThis is a beautiful and diverse one-form entry school in Addlestone, Surrey. It is easily accessible by public transport and seeking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher from October 2023. The school is happy to consider applications from both experiencedteachers and ECTs. The school has a supportive culture and is an excellent place for both students and staff members.Year 1 Teacher responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver stimulating and engaging lessons that inspire and challenge Year 1 students
  • Plan and organise schemes of work in line with the schools curriculum and national standards
  • Assess and evaluate Year 1 student progress using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies
  • Provide regular feedback to Year 1 students, parents and colleagues on student progress
  • Create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences
Year 1 Teacher requirements:
  • QTS, PGCE and strong academic record
  • Creative, imaginative, determined, resourceful and adaptable practitioner
  • Passionate about learning
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of success within a Year 1 environment
  • Able to communicate your passion to children and parents
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding practice in the classroom
