SQL Database Administrator SQL SERVER ORACLE EPSOM - SURREY Due to large scale growth and development my client , a leading name within the financial services world are currently recruiting a SQL Database Administrator to be based at their Epsom HQ .The SQL Database Administrator will be part of a small team of specialists responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining UK Relational Database Server (RDBMS) installations to agreed time and quality specifications. Supporting and maintaining UK application and interfaces. Key responsibilities The responsibilities and authority stated below are subject at all times to company policy.*To ensure the successful provision of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases used by core and non-core business and IT related applications*To ensure all development projects are delivered to previously agreed time and quality specifications*To understand the business drivers, strategy, design, architecture, functionality and supporting data for each of the UK supported business databases and applications*To contribute to the continual review of the quality of data held within each of the supported databases as required and to advise on data quality improvement opportunities*To ensure that all supported databases meet the business, functional, performance and availability requirements*To perform business and data requirements analysis, change request impact analysis as required*To understand the reporting requirements of the supported applications and their source databases which underpin the business applicationsSkills and Experience *Operating Systems:oWindows server (2018-current)oUNIX (Sun Solaris)*Relational Database Systems:oSQL Server (2008-current)oOracle (11g-current)*OLTP/Batch*Experience of 2nd/3rd line in-house support, scripting and IT project work*SOX/GDPR*Information Security*GISG*Virtualisation*Cloud Technology - Azure/AWSPlease apply for immediate consideration - my client is happy to both interview and on-board virtually Spring acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
