Job Description

Senior Java DeveloperSurrey£60,000 - £62,000 + BonusRole ProfileCast UK is supporting one of our prestigious clients with their recruitment process of a Senior Java Developer to join the E-commerce Development team. The role supports the development and maintenance of web-based systems and provides third-line support for website issues.Skills & Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Java web development environment and associated packages: Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Security, JSP, Servlets, Tag Libraries, ORM frameworks
  • Experience with front-end web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, Javascrit, Javascript libraries
  • Experience developing and maintaining large volume transactional websites
  • Strong technical knowledge of database systems: SQL queries and updates, scripts
  • Working knowledge of using software development tools, including IDE (Eclipse/IntelliJ) and source-code management
  • Working knowledge of an industry standard Issue & Project Tracking tool (e.g. JIRA)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge and experience of Hybris or SAP Commerce Cloud platform is a major plus
  • Understanding and experience of devops processes (e.g. CI/CD, pipelines)
  • Experience with cloud platforms and specifically with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with SOAP/REST web services
  • Strong front-end development experience, knowledge of CSS frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap) - both with server-based and single-page applications
  • Awareness of web security (OWASP top 10, etc.)
  • Knowledge of BDD/Cucumber testing framework
