Job Description

Even during these unprecedented times, my client a global leading financial services organisation is still very much "business as usual". With all their staff currently working from home, they are now seeking a Master Trust Pension Operations Manager, who will initially themselves start working from home. Once there is a return to the office, you will be based out of their offices in Surrey. There is also the opportunity to work from home a couple of days per week (dependent on business needs).This area of the business Workplace Investing (DC Operations) is responsible supporting and maintaining pension administration services for a wide range of corporate clients. The nature of the service provided includes full support to pension scheme members at all stages of the administration life cycle through to specialist support to Trustees and members for specific task delivery.You will support the business’s Master Trust and Trustees with operational matters, as well as ensuring the scheme remains authorised by the Pensions Regulator. Key responsibilities will include bit not be limited to:

  • Maintaining the Systems & Processes Significant Events log, with potential reporting to the Pensions Regulator, as well as maintaining the Systems & Processes change log in a format which can be shared with the Trustees
  • Providing requested evidence to the Trustees auditors for the annual AAF 02/07 and financial audits
  • Provide requested Systems & Processes evidence to the Pensions Regulator as part of Master Trust Supervision ad hoc requests
  • Provide required evidence and commentary for the Systems & Processes section of the Pensions Regulator’s Master Trust supervisory return
  • Produce papers for Trustee meetings (typically monthly)
  • Complete actions assigned to Operations on the Trustees Matters Arising Report log
  • Work with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues affecting the Master Trust or its members.
  • Raise GDPR breaches to the Trustees in the absence of the Associate Director
  • Attend Trustee meetings when the Associate Director cannot attend
  • Possessing detailed knowledge of DC pension administration (experience of Master Trust is desirable but not essential), however, it is essential that you have a strong "can do" attitude with a strong desire to make things happen with a high level of ownership.Additionally, you will be someone who is flexible and adaptable, can respond rapidly to changing agendas, re-prioritise and organise effectively and have proven interpersonal and communication (verbal, written and client facing)Full details including the remuneration and benefits package that includes bonus potential, non-contributory pensions and free parking (when in office) are available on application.
