Job Description

Business Systems Database Administrator - Oracle Database Administrator - Oracle DBA - Database Administrator - Sun Solaris - Azure - AWS technologies - Oracle - Unix - RDBMS - Window Server skills are required by leading international Financial company based close to Epsom, Surrey - Competitive rate. Initial 3-month contract.I am looking for a Business Systems Database Administrator - SQL Server DBA - SQL Server Database Administrator who can join a small team of specialists responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining UK Relational Database Server (RDBMS) installations to agreed time and quality specifications. Supporting and maintaining UK application and interfaces.Key Responsibilities for this Oracle DBA - Oracle Database Administrator:

  • To ensure the successful provision of databases used by core and non-core business and IT-related applications
  • Ensure all development projects are delivered to previously agreed time and quality specifications
  • Understand the business drivers, strategy, design, architecture, functionality and supporting data for each of the UK supported business databases and applications
  • Contribute to the continual review of the quality of data held within each of the supported databases as required and to advise on data quality improvement opportunities
  • Ensure that all supported databases meet the business, functional, performance and availability requirements
  • To perform business and data requirements analysis, change request impact analysis as required
  • Understand the reporting requirements of the supported applications and their source databases which underpin the business applications
    • The Business Systems Database Administrator - Oracle Database Administrator - Oracle DBA will have the following experience:
  • Strong Oracle Database Administration experience
  • Experience in supporting and maintaining business-critical applications within a disparate technical infrastructure
  • Database & Applications running under Unix ( Sun Solaris)
  • Experience of RDBMS Oracle 11g +
  • Cloud technologies - Azure / AWS
  • Experience of 2nd/3rd line in-house support, scripting and IT Project work
    • In addition to the skills above if you have any of the following this would be highly desirable:
  • Scripting / Automation and data warehousing
  • ITIL
  • Project Management
  • Informatica ETL
    • My Clients offices are based close to Epsom Surrey and they can offer a competitive rate for this initial 3-month contract.
