Job Description

Helpdesk Engineer - 3rd line Support - Epsom £30k - £35k + bensMy client is a reputed Managed Services Provider with an exciting opportunity for a 3rd line Technical Support Engineer to join its UK headquarters. Working within a team of 10 engineers you will be required to provide clients with:The role:

  • look after client Windows Servers through monitoring dashboard (Solarwinds MSP) + tickets escalated through the 1st + 2nd line teams
  • General networking support (including switches, Meraki firewalls, etc)
  • Configure new adds, moves and changes to systems as requested
  • Provide support, guidance and training for the 1st + 2nd lines
  • Record and maintain helpdesk records when dealing with incidents and queries raised by customers in Autotask
  • Provide a friendly, calm and professional experience to business customers
  • About you:The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing all aspects of networking and Microsoft products. You will be comfortable and capable when working on customers servers to either configure new roles or services and also when diagnosing all manner of server and workstation faults and have a proven track record working within an MSP/SI environment. Ideally the candidate will be Microsoft qualified (MCP/MCTS/MCSA/MCSE).A strong, in depth experience in maintaining the following is essential:
  • Windows 8, 10
  • Server 2012-2019
  • Exchange 2013-2019
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange online, Intune, AzureAD, MFA, Teams, etc.)
  • Hyper-V
  • LAN, WAN, firewalls and switches
  • Server hardware (predominantly HP)
  • Experience in the following technologies would also be highly advantageous:
  • Cisco Meraki MX, MS and MR series
  • Sophos Central
  • Barracuda Mailessentials
  • ZyXel USG series and switches
  • VOIP
  • SolarwindsMSP
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Microsoft Sharepoint
