To undertake all grounds related activities to ensure that the school site is maintained to a high standard and to provide a professional impression to all visitors, parents, pupils and staff. In addition, as a member of the estates staff, to undertake a range of duties concerned with the school premises and ancillary duties to support the operation of the school. If you were successful in the you will have to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check. Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role. Ability to work early and late shift patterns and weekend working on a rotational basis. This role is a full time role 40 hours a weekBasic DIY/Practical skills. Driving licenceUndertake routine maintenance work of surfaces and landscape as detailed on work schedules or as directed by the Estates Team Supervisor.Understanding/knowledge of Health & SafetyTo undertake horticultural operations, e.g. ground preparation, planting, turfing, seeding and pruning.Ability to use and maintain tools and basic light machinery. Ability to drive a tractor and operate other machinery e.g. sit on lawn mower. Clean and clear all drains and gullies etc. to ensure effective and healthy operation in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.To undertake the erection, dismantling and maintenance of sports equipment.Experience of using and maintaining a wide range of cleaning and maintenance equipment. Good ITC, verbal and written communication skills. Good organisational, planning and scheduling skills. Carry out minor works in order to improve the site as required by the Estates Team Supervisor.
