Job Description

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely alongside Enfield Council to provide them a with a Web Developer join their team on a Maternity Cover (Hybrid Working). Salary £34,000 to £37,000 per anumm (Pro Rata)The Contract Web DeveloperMaternity Cover is a role within Customer Experience and Libraries, reporting to the Web Manager. They have a responsibility for delivering the design, coding and modifications needed on the Councils website (www.enfield.gov.uk), other peripheral websites and the intranet.www.enfield.gov.uk plays a key role in supporting Enfield Councils Customer Experience Strategy. The council website provides customers with a wide range of tools and forms for them to quickly and easily report local issues. Over time,the site will become the primary means for customers to contact the Council. As part of a small but agile Web Team, the Web Developer is a critical team member and will have a fantastic opportunity to help influence, define and develop the website.In addition, the Web Developer will:

  • Develop web pages, components and forms on the Councils customer platform (Squiz Matrix CMS & Verint CMPro)
  • Develop enterprise solutions within fast-paced environments
  • Deliver proof of concepts and demos
  • Demonstrate versatility and functionality within products working closing with key stakeholders
  • Investigate and resolve issues with web pages errors and styling
  • Use a wide range of tools and skillsets to meet the customer needs
Essential:
  • Experience (at least 6 months) of delivering service support working in a team of engineers or in a digital/customer platform environment.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment and manage collaborative programs of work
  • Effective interaction with colleagues, third parties and customers
  • Good English literacy (written, and verbal for customer facing roles) and numeracy skills
  • Must have 3 years experience or a qualification in range of programming languages and digital protocols, such as HTML5, CSS3, front-end web frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, React, etc.), responsive web design, JavaScript, AJAX, OData, PHP5 or similar scriptinglanguage and templating languages (e.g. Liquid, Groovy)
