SEN Teaching Assistant Starting date: OctoberLocation: EnfieldFree CPD and Constant support with interviewingEmpowering Learning are looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated SEN teaching assistant who is looking to make a difference. The successful candidate will have a passion for education and support children in a primary setting.The candidate would need to display a good knowledge of ASD approaches and an understanding of how to support Sensory processing needs in pupils. Candidates must demonstrate how to respond positively to deescalate behaviours which challenge.You will be required to be working with a child with SEN in the morning, helping out/ supporting their work load. Then in the afternoon be a Teaching assistant in the classroom.The school is 5 form entry rated good on Ofsted. The candidate needs experience with various SEND needs, especially with Autism. You will be working with Early years and KS1.Essential criteria MUST HAVE:(1) Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English.(2) Recent experience and good working knowledge of teaching/working in an early year setting.(3) Genuine passion and desire to work with SEN children/pupils.(4) Recent experience of and interest in working in a primary setting.Have an interest in the education sectorHave an enhanced up to date DBS (Or willing to process one)A recent graduate (graduated within last 2 years) (Desired not essential)Ability to engage with and inspire young learnersIf this teaching assistant position sounds like you then please get in touch with Millie Mace at Empowering Learning on or click the Apply Now button.
