Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Nurse to join our clients team. Run by a world-class team of experts, our client run clinical trials on behalf of clinical research organisations and pharmaceutical companies across multiple therapeutic areas. This is a great opportunity for a Research Nurse who is progressive and wanting to join a forward-thinking company!Role purpose:

  • To manage nursing activities relating to clinical trials from the start up on a trial to the close out working to ICH/GCP guidelines
  • To be pleasant and considerate to our clients/customers who attend the clinical research site. Look smart and presentable at all times
  • Keep the commercial success of the site foremost in their minds but not at the cost of the patients
  • To work to company values and Mission Statement
  • To keep up to date with all training and ongoing SOP’s
  • To be compliant with study criteria and protocols
  • Be able to pre-identify patients from the company database
    • Key Accountabilities:
  • Attend site initiation visits (SIV) for any new study and keep up to date with any changes with the study protocols
  • Perform PIV patient interest visits (chats) effectively with knowledge and understanding of the study protocol
  • When collecting source data from the patient and entering onto patient notes/ECRF this must be done with the upmost accuracy
  • Keep patients engaged with the study at each visit to optimize patient retention
  • Any data queries must be acted upon as soon as possible within the agreed timeframes
  • Will act on any emergency within the site for patient or staff
  • Enter data onto accountability logs and maintain them correctly
  • Review and regularly check the emergency trolley
  • To be able to perform laboratory duties on each study if required
  • Helps keep the site professional welcoming and pleasant at all times
