Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Estimator - Reputable Flooring Contractor - EnfieldCompany:Currently a well-established specialist flooring contractor are currently on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join their highly skilled team. With their head office being based in Enfield, the majority of their projects tend to be located in the London area. They have been established for over 20 years, specialising in high quality flooring & wall installations in all aspects of the commercial and new build sectors.Their projects range anywhere from £10,000 - £2m in value, this type of works include; tiling, ceramics, porcelain, and natural stone tiles to a wide variety of projects including health clubs, restaurants, hotels and corporate office space in London and its surrounding areas.Quantity Surveyor Estimator Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the commercial aspects for all Live Projects and should work in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures, their job roles and responsibilities are as follows:
  • Provide support and guidance to the Commercial Team
  • Continuous communication with the Main Contractor
  • Ensure all projects can run as smoothly as possible.
  • Complete relevant checks on quantities to ensure all scope is covered and ensure all agreed rates include for the agreed scope of works.
  • Complete monthly valuations
  • Provide any substation to variations/valuations
  • Monitor project finances and ensure budgets are not exceeded
    • Quantity Surveyor Estimator Requirements:
  • Have a strong background in tiling/flooring industry.
  • Have at least 5 years experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager/Senior Estimator
  • Must be able to review JCT contracts & understand clauses.
  • You must Promptly identify, prevent and when appropriate to successfully resolve business related problems including those which arise from noncompliance with any of the business systems
  • Be able to Identify opportunities for improvement, particularly measurable improvement, in all areas of the business including quality / business and environmental issues.
