Warehouse Operative Ocado - Hatfield Warehouse Operative - Hatfield - Full Time, Permanent - ASAP Start DatesWe have permanent positions available immediately at our high-tech warehouse with guaranteed hours. Overtime up to 1.5 x basic rate. Breakdown:

  • Starting rate - £9.46 per hour
  • Night shift premium (between the hours of 10pm and 6am) - plus £1.82 per hour
  • Performance based incentives available when targets are met
  • Overtime paid at basic x 1.5So once youve joined, what will you be doingYou will be part of our team of warehouse operatives, our despatch warehouse operatives play a critical part of Ocado and are making a real difference to the lives of our customers every day.Youll be working within an extremely safe & clean, fast-paced,high-tech warehouse environment.Despatch: Its important you know its heavy work - youll be frame loading up to 18kg totes from spur lanes into frames, loading customer orders into the delivery vans and de-kitting the returned assets. All roles within the warehouse will requireyou to handle meat and alcohol.Here is some more helpful information:
  • All areas of the warehouse (except the freezer) have both ambient and chill (0 to 5) sections and you will be expected to work in both areas.
  • The role of a warehouse operative requires you to be on your feet and mobile at all times as well as carrying out repetitive tasks and potentially lifting up to 25kg weights and moving up to 70kg trolleys.
  • We will provide you with the correct PPE.
  • All roles within the warehouse will require you to handle meat and alcohol.What shifts can you choose from Nights Shift - 20:50 to 06:50You will be working any 4 days from 7, which will include working weekends.It is an excellent opportunity for those where the standard 9-5 doesnt fit in with your personal life and being able to do your hours over 4 days means you get 3 full days off too!
