Job Description

Senior Operations Supervisor (Anaerobic Digestion)(15 Miles North) of Aberdeen£52,000 PAAD Energy have been retained by our client to recruit a Senior Operations Supervisor preferably with Anaerobic Digestion (AD) experience or experience in a similar continuous process operations environment. By virtue of their process plant operations experience and core skills they will contribute to better plant availability and hence better plant operational performance . The Senior Operations Supervisor shall (following a period of familiarisation) provide technical leadership by virtue of his or her own presence in this specialist field or experience in another relevant subsector that has significant crossover of technology and techniques.Senior Operations SupervisorSupport the Operations Performance Manager in the delivery of all his objectives including:

  • Assist with the planning of shifts and completing shift operator function when required for business need from time to time.
  • Analysis of recuring M&E failure or process failure events to define ongoing "top five" performance improvement/plant de bottlenecking causes and carry out plans to address.
  • Assist in the plant status monitoring, enforcing of agreed practice and any out of hours monitoring/response arrangements, including on site attendance interventions that may be required in the short term or for the longer term.
  • Bring their own AD experience to enhance AB good practice, business improvement, troubleshooting.
  • Develop coping strategies or alternative approaches to address the key limitations of some important support/maintenance package providers.
    • As part of a small business, the Postholder shall play his or her part in helping in cooperating with other departments and shall help develop the team capabilities and assist with other aspects of the business including helping maintenance, plant improvement works, business planning undertaking procurement and so on. The postholder will help manage activities to deliver objectives in compliance with formal Health, Safety, Environmental and Operational Management Systems.The Postholders shall (given time) undertake analysis of existing operational practice and help formalise operational and maintenance procedures that improve and safeguard performance, compliance and plant integrity.Up to an agreed cost threshold, the postholder shall be authorised to make direct procurement of required goods and or services Required skills
