Warehouse OperativeLocation: WirralType: PermanentSalary: £23,795.20The Role:• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.• Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.• Taking goods to the appropriate storage space • Keeping a careful record of stock so that it can be located quickly.• Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly and safely.• Picking orders from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.• Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse.• Picking and packing orders ready for shipment according to daily plan.Essential Skills• Manual handling and lifting skills.• Ability to accurately pick orders correctly according to schedule.• Ability to work well with others amongst a team.• Excellent verbal communication skills.• Flexibility in daily responsibilities to meet demand.• To assist in other duties to maintain order fulfilment on time.• Ability to multi-task to maintain accurate picks and keep waste and damage to a minimum.Desirable• Driving licence for occasional assistance in deliveries if required.• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.• FLT (Reach & Counterbalance) experience or licences, although in house training and licences will be provided.Benefits• Company Pension• Performance related bonus scheme (monthly)• Occasional overtime available • Fantastic working environment• On site parking • Access to local amenitiesImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
