Job Description

The role:We are recruiting for a Quality Technician as part of a quality project at our Clients Ellesmere Port plant. The successful candidate will need to complete approximately 2/3 weeks initial training at their manufacturing plant in Spain, after which the rolewill continue at Ellesmere Port. The role will involve co-operating with all plant functions, Project and launch team members; PQL, CQM, Customer Production OEM, directly with OEM Plant Quality operationsQuality Technician Responsibilities:
  • Review of stocks through computer control and physical inventory, in order to guarantee stocks.
  • Customer service when circumstances require it, visiting the customer when there is a quality or logistics issue, avoiding anomalies and incidents.
  • Quality animation, informing of factory alerts, giving support to sequencing and operators, generating the necessary documentation (OPL, quality ranges...)
  • Check daily the pieces rejected the day before and physically remove.
  • Carry out the measurement of pieces to control of the geometry if is necessary.
  • Carry out a transport audit twice a week, reviewing the entire unloading process physically, and verify that the material arrives OK and is unloaded correctly, denouncing detected anomalies if is necessary.
  • Rework parts by sanding, polishing, retouching them with a polisher or any means that allows recovering a piece by limiting the rejection.
  • Supports project teams for new product and participates the program launch.
Quality Technician Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in Quality and Engineering.
  • Basic quality training internal and external.
  • Measurement of geometry and cosmetic appearances.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer relations as the role will involve liaising with stakeholders in Spain.
