The company has an embedded safety culture, technically challenging work across the different parts of the business and some of the best training available in the energyindustry.Essar is committed to playing a key role in the decarbonisation of the UK.The RoleWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join our HSSEQ Team as Human Factors Specialist. The role holder will provide human factors safety support and advice to the production units and site in general and will contribute to the companys process safetyprogrammes and initiatives. They will ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation and support the sites management of risk to ALARP. In addition, they will provide technical advice, training and assurance to ensure a drive in improvements and alsorepresent Essar at external stakeholder meetings.The role holder will play an integral part in leading incident investigations to identify human factors root cause and will work with the wider team to reduce these incidents. You will be accountable for ensuring HSE standards are being applied and intervening,where required. You will be able to respond to rapidly changing requirements, whilst ensuring delivery of key objectives.About YouOur ideal candidate should have a qualification or experience in engineering processes and/or manufacturing processes, with prior similar upper Tier COMAH manufacturing experience desirable. You should have a CEng with a MEng in Chemical Engineering, charteredHealth Practitioner or equivalent qualifications. An MSc or PG Dip in Human Factors and Ergonomics would be desirable. Significant experience is needed in human performance factors integration, analysis and assessment techniques e.g. SCTA, work loading, HFE,organisational change management, incident investigations and process safety reviews, with some prior exposure to elements of safety management. A working knowledge and understanding of COMAH Regulations (2015) & the Human Factors Roadmap would be desirable.You will have excellent Communications skills with significant experience of building relationships with Internal and external stakeholders, working to tight timescales and within multi-discipline teams.ApplicationThe closing date for this vacancy is Friday 13 August 2021 at midday.Please note, we work with a carefully selected set of recruitment agencies and we are not looking to add to the current preferred suppliers list.
