What youll be doing;
  • Managing two teams of Day Operators and ensuring safety and environmental compliance
  • Working closely with the Stock Control Manager and Process teams to optimise operational efficiency and waste throughput in line with customer requirements and site budget targets
  • Supporting the Waste Inventory Manager with site safety meetings, performance reviews and investigations, risk assessments, auditing, coordinating waste intake and controlling stock held on site
  • Supervising operation of mobile plant; including FLTs, telehandler and skip trucks.
  • Off loading bulk waste reception including integrity check in accordance with local work instructions
  • Responsibility for all waste stock movements including safe storage of drummed and packaged waste to meet the requirements of HSG71 (Chemical Warehousing: Storage of Packaged Dangerous Substances)
What were looking for;
  • Previous experience working within the waste management industry or related field
  • Experience gained supervising and bringing out the best from a team
  • Experience of working within the requirements of a high tier COMAH site is desirable
