Job Description

This role will be working Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, this role will be office based at Ellesmere Police Station.ROLE PURPOSETo deliver a professional and corporate Administration Service to the Force; ensuring an effective and efficient response to policing requirements.ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provision of a general administration service, ensuring an effective and efficient response to Policing requirement i.e. issue, record and store pocket notebooks/ daybooks fuel cards, fast tags, officer uniform and key storage
  • Administer the sale of Police Property on eBay and co-ordinate the administrative process for Police Property Auctions acting as a liaison between the Force and Wright Marshall
  • Request and issue stationery and equipment ensuring that stock levels are maintained
  • Administer the Imprest Account and other associated duties, whilst adhering to financial regulations
  • Act as a point of contact for the various duties associated with the estate i.e. reporting of Estates issues, provision of a meet and greet service for visitors on behalf of the Constabulary
  • Act as a point of contact for maintenance staff and receipt of deliveries.
  • Administration of lockers throughout the Force.
  • Assist in the organisation of internal and external events, and conferences ensuring that all associated arrangements are made using the most cost effective options
  • Provide resilience for other Administration staff to ensure continuity of a professional administrative service across all Cheshire Constabulary sites
  • Must be able to travel round the County
EXPERIENCE
  • Educated to Level 2 or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience in a customer focused environment.
  • Some experience working in an administrative role.
  • Some experience of IT packages such as Microsoft Office

  • Excellent administration and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
